Peet van Zyl (Joint Managing Director & Player Agent)
Peet has been involved in the athlete management industry for the past decade. Prior to that he worked in the insurance industry, as the marketing manager of one of the major South African insurance companies.

Peet obtained a B.Comm degree in Marketing Management, at the University of Johannesburg (formerly RAU).

A former 400m hurdler who obtained senior provincial colours, Peet's expertise in managing some of South Africa's top track and field athletes, is well-known. In addition,he has the distinction of being the only IAAF accredited agent in South Africa.
In addition to his portfolio of players and athletes, Peet handles the marketing portfolio for ISAM.

Peet is based in Johannesburg.

Cathy van Niekerk (Joint Managing Director)
Cathy has spent most of her professional career in the field of human resources and labour law and was a senior executive in the banking world for many years until she moved out to become involved in athlete management. For the past six years Cathy has devoted much of her time to assisting professional Rugby players in advancing their careers.

Cathy has a Masters degree in Management from Wits, an Advanced Diploma in Labour Law (UNISA) and a Certificate in Sports Law (RAU). In addition to her portfolio of players, she handles the financial portfolio for ISAM.

Cathy is based in Cape Town.

Anneke Kruger (Relationship Manager)

Anneke joined the ISAM team in Johannesburg at the start of 2009, where she is involved with assisting both professional rugby players and athletes in the management of their careers.

As a young sportswoman, she excelled at gymnastics and athletics at provincial level and represented South-Africa in netball. The latter she still actively plays, by representing the University of Johannesburg.

Anneke completed her degree in B.Comm Sport Management at the University of Johannesburg in 2009.
Howard Kahn (Client Liaison and Media Manager)
Howard has come on board in a new role aimed at helping ISAM get the most out of its athletes off the field - when it comes to their sponsors and the media. In addition, Howard will also manage all In-Site's Cape-based players.

A very experienced rugby journalist, having edited the Planet Rugby and Rugby365 websites for a long period of time, Howard cut his teeth in the media management world during a two-year stint at top English rugby club, Leicester Tigers.

In addition to his portfolio with ISAM, Howie also runs his own media business - the Sports Network which specialises in Sport PR, media management and sponsorship - and counts amongst his clients the likes of In-Site Athlete Management, Varsity Cup, Cape Town Tens, FNB Classic Clashes and RugbyIQ.

Howard is based in Cape Town.
Chris Smit (Director & Legal Affairs)
A product of Grey College in Bloemfontein, Chris then obtained a Law Degree at Stellenbosch University. In addition to his involvement in ISAM, Chris is a practising attorney in Cape Town.

His sports pedigree is impressive, having represented SA Schools at both Rugby and Cricket (in 1979). From there he went on to play senior Rugby for the Maties, and played fly-half and centre for Western Province, and centre for the Lions (then Transvaal).

In addition to his skills as an identifier of rugby talent, Chris handles the legal portfolio for ISAM.

Chris is based in Durbanville.

Rian Oberholzer (Director)
Rian is currently Managing Director of the international sports management company Accelerate, which is part of UK-listed company Essentially Group.

As a Director of ISAM, his experience in the sports industry - particularly Rugby - is a valuable asset.

As Tournament Director of RWC 1995 Rian oversaw a successful World Cup in South Africa. He was CEO of SARFU, and MD of its commercial arm, SA Rugby (Pty) Ltd, and served on the Board of SANZAR during his tenure at SA Rugby. In addition to serving on the Council of the International Rugby Board, Rian was also a member of the Board of Directors of Rugby World Cup Limited.
